It is important to dispose of used lancets so they do not cause injury. Whilst used Accu-Chek Softclix lancets can safely be disposed of in household waste, some local councils provide a sharps disposal service by supplying individuals with sharps bins and collecting them when they are full. Check with the local council which disposal services are available.
